Some stories are very philosophical and its aim is to show the good or the bad in that particular ideal. Other stories have just the romance or the mystery or a combination of the both. However, this novel had all three. The principles of the suffragist movements, the mystery of the threatening letters to Kaitlin and the romance brewing between the two main characters all worked together to create a very well-rounded story.

Being an independent woman is something to which I can relate. At the same time, I am happy to relinquish a few things to my husband. Ms. Gold has a story worth its weight in gold. I loved this historical romance. I have not laughed very hard in a long time and this story had its moments where I could not keep quiet. I definitely recommend Kaitlin’s Silver Lining. It is an fascinating story with extremely enjoyable characters, sharp dialogue and a hero and heroine who get under your skin from the beginning. Kaitlin is not a woman to be ignored – and you should definitely give her the pleasure of your company and sit for spell with Kaitlin’s Silver Lining.

Again Ms. Gold takes us back in time to explore a life a lot harder than our own. Her portrayal of the era is always full of color and three dimensional and her characters are people you’d expect to find walking down the boardwalk or sitting on a stool at the town saloon.......Ms. Gold has again delivered a story of such depth that you find yourself anxiously awaiting the next step in the journey of these two unlikely lovers.
